FOR WRITERS

TagTales Gallery was born from the writing culture and the more than thirty-year experience of Aelle Magazine, the historic Italian Hip Hop culture magazine founded in 1991. It is not just another platform created by people outside the culture trying to speculate on the movement, but a tool designed and developed by writers for writers, with the aim of generating recurring income that allows them to live from their art.

The vision is to become the global reference point for the online writing market, creating a market that is now practically absent where the writer/photographer can monetize their art to enthusiasts, collectors, and other writers. The platform eliminates the typical barriers of the traditional art market: no intermediaries in suits and ties, no speculation, just a transparent system that directly connects writers with collectors from all over the world.

The subjects must be graffiti with letters and drawings and calligraphic works that fall within the writing style. A writer’s exhibition can include:
– Original pieces
– Digital works
– Photos of pieces created on walls or metal
– Paintings on any medium (including digitally drawn)
– Objects and sculptures (only for original sales)
– Photos (printed or digital)

The sales model is structured on different levels:
– Original works: TagTales Gallery acts only as a showcase, leaving the sale directly to the artist who keeps 100% of the proceeds
– Original works with limited edition: 10-100 prints in print-on-demand (50% artist, 50% TagTales)
– Works/photos only in limited edition print-on-demand: 10-100 prints (50% artist, 50% TagTales)
– Works/photos in unlimited print-on-demand: (50% artist, 50% TagTales)

Each exhibition should ideally include between 16 and 30 works. In the case of collective exhibitions, there are 5 writers, each with 6 works for a total of 35 works.

Yes, each writer/photographer can apply to sell:
– 1 original work (keeping 100% of the proceeds) with 10 print-on-demand prints
– Up to 10 works in print-on-demand with a percentage of 50% artist, 50% TagTales

Selection for exhibitions is by direct invitation from TagTales only. However, it is possible to apply to sell your works without a proper exhibition.

Exhibitions remain online indefinitely. There is no forced rotation of works: each writer has their permanent space on the platform and available works remain on sale for at least one year or until the contract is renewed.

For each exhibition, there is an exclusive contract related only to the exhibited works with automatic renewal every 12 months. For collective exhibitions, no exclusivity is required. Both parties have the right to request, three months before the expiration, to terminate it. Intellectual property remains with the artist.

Once published, the exhibition maintains its curatorial integrity and it is not possible to modify or replace the works. If a writer wants to present new works and there is an agreement with TagTales Gallery, it is possible to organize a new exhibition at a later time.

Payments are made monthly or when sales reach 500 euros, after issuing an invoice or receipt. Each writer has access to their account on the TagTales website where they can see sales in real time and request their payment.

There are no costs. TagTales Gallery covers all expenses: production of the documentary (when possible), production of the catalog, photographs, marketing and platform management, VAT payment. The 50% commission is withheld only on actual sales.

The writer has full autonomy in defining the prices of the works. Upon request, TagTales Gallery provides advice on market prices and suggests an optimal range to maximize sales, based on experience and market data. The final decision, however, remains with the writer/photographer.

Yes, especially for the first 7 days when Priority List members receive a discount, for transparency, the sale price, even of the most expensive works, must be displayed.

To calculate the selling price starting from the amount you want to receive, consider that most sales will occur in the first 7 days with the 20% Priority List discount. Formula: Full price = Desired net amount × 2.5

For original works, high-resolution photographs (minimum 300 dpi) are required, and for works intended for printing, professional quality images are necessary. For digitally created works, the type of file needed will be communicated on a case-by-case basis.

The documentary is filmed in the writer’s studio or city over the course of one or two days. It is not necessary to show your face if you wish to remain anonymous. The service is completely included but not always guaranteed, depending on distance and other factors related to the availability of those who must do the filming.

Various types of materials are available, from paper to canvas to wood and metal. For each work, there will be multiple formats and different materials available to give every budget the opportunity to find what they can afford.

Each exhibition has its own catalog, created by TagTales Gallery, available for free in digital format that can be browsed online (not downloadable) and in print-on-demand paper format. The revenues from catalog sales follow the same 50-50 distribution.

Each exhibition on TagTales Gallery includes a line of personalized merchandise, developed in collaboration with the writer. The catalog includes various products such as:
– T-shirts and sweatshirts with prints of works or graphic details related to the exhibition
– Cell phone cases
– Mugs
– Magnets
– Stickers
– Bookmarks
– Reproductions on wood or metal
Further customizations are possible to be evaluated jointly with TagTales. The percentage for merchandise is 50% for the artist and 50% for TagTales, net of costs. The rights are licensed for 12 months, renewable indefinitely.

Preparing an exhibition takes between two and three months. This time is necessary to create the documentary, professionally photograph the works, produce video content, create the catalog, prepare the communication campaign, and test the print-on-demand prints.

Print-on-demand prints and merchandise are produced and shipped locally in the buyer’s country or in the same economic area. The shipping of original works is managed by the writer themselves or by the buyer according to agreements made outside the TagTales platform.

The writer retains all rights to their works. For print-on-demand works, including merchandise, they grant TagTales Gallery the exclusive right of reproduction. The produced content (documentary, photos, catalog) can be used by both parties for promotion.

Each writer has a direct contact at TagTales Gallery who handles all aspects of the collaboration, from exhibition preparation to daily management.Support is available via email or WhatsApp.
